Ministries at Mt Albert Presbyterian Church

Sunday Morning services.
We follow the Lectionary readings and therefore have a set passage for our message every Sunday.  We have "Family Services" on the 4th Sundays, and this is where different members of our congregation leads the service.  On the 2nd Sunday of even months, we have our Holy Communion.

Sunday Evening Ministries & fellowship - 6.30pm
Our Sunday evening ministries for 2017 will be on the 2nd and 4th Sundays starting at 6.30pm.  There will be soup and refreshments as you arrive, and we will have a Bible Study.  All welcome.

Monday Night Fellowship                Course Facilitator: Hugh Hopkins
On Monday nights, we gather in the small hall at 7.30pm in fellowship.  We start off with a hot drink and some light snack followed by an interaction type Bible study.  All welcome!

Children's Ministry:
We have a Children's space in Church, where they belong.  We worship together in the sanctuary for about 10 - 15 minutes before the children move to the hall, where leaders have prepared lessons and activities for them based on the Lectionary reading for the day.  Our children participates in other special events during the year like Easter, Family Services, Children's Sunday & Christmas Drama.

Youth Fellowship
Our Youth gathers for fellowship once a week during school term.  Please check on the notices for when they gather.  All welcome!

Games/Sports/Socializing Fellowship
On the 1st Saturday of every month, in the evening, we gather to enjoy pool table, table tennis, dart, pizza and fellowship.  All welcome.

Good Friday walk:
We work together with the local Churches as we contribute to the Mount Albert Good Friday walk, where members of all denominations are invited to process from Church to Church within Mt Albert following the Cross, and at each Church, a drama, pageant or musical item depicts one of the Stations of the Cross.

Easter Sunday Dawn Service:
We resumed the Easter Sunday Dawn service in 2015.  We gather at Mount Owairaka on Easter Sunday for a Dawn service which starts 1/2hour before Sunrise.  The service has been attended by representative from local Churches and has been led by the Presbyterian minister as well as the Methodist minister.  After the service, we continue on to the Presbyterian Church hall, where we continue fellowship as we enjoy a lovely warm breakfast.
